About the programme

Start up, Scale up by Lloyds Bank Academy is a free 8 week programme that will help your business build a roadmap to growth. You don’t have to be a Lloyds Bank customer to take part. But you must be able to travel to the locations as above for week 1 and week 8 of the programme.​

Over the 8 weeks you’ll take part in face-to-face training and networking with other local business owners, webinars, and online learning. Our expert trainers will guide you through the setting of your growth goals. You'll then go on to identify and apply the right growth methods for your business. So, when you leave the 8 weeks you'll have an actionable roadmap to growth.​​

Not sure you're ready to grow just yet? We will help you prepare with a set of pre-programme resources that will check you have the foundations you need. It will also help you to fill any gaps before the 8 weeks of learning begin.​

About the learning

 

  • Face to face training and networking – 2.5 hours
    In week 1, you'll begin to set goals that help achieve your overall business strategy and enable your ambitions for growth. Through the course of your 8 week learning journey, you'll refine your goals. Expanding your knowledge of different growth methods and how they can help your business.

  • Online learning – 15 mins
    Looking at the market you're operating in, you'll explore the different ways in which you can adapt or expand in line with your growth goals. Learning different market strategies such as market expansion, you'll consider whether they are the best growth methods for your business.

  • Webinar – 1 hour
    Exploring different innovation techniques, you'll consider the ways you can improve your products and services. We'll introduce you to techniques like diversification, you'll examine which of these best enable your goals for growth and achieve improvements for your customers.

  • Online learning – 45 mins
    By evaluating your current marketing and customer relationships, you'll identify areas for improvement. You'll learn a range of marketing strategies that can help achieve your goals. You'll consider how customer relationship management (CRM) and CRM systems, can help you streamline your interactions with your customers.

  • Webinar – 1 hour
    Understand the potential benefits of adopting different digital tools in your business. You'll explore a range of ways these tools can create efficiencies and benefits. Combining this week's learning with research you'll have a list of products you can consider for your growth plan.

  • Online learning – 15 mins
    In week 6, you'll begin to evaluate the feasibility of the different growth methods we've covered. From your policies to your business structure, you'll be equipped with a list of governance steps to consider while embedding your growth plans.

  • Online learning – 15 mins
    Learn to communicate your growth plan, and how you can deliver this across your business. You'll identify and address potential barriers to change. Empowering your team, you'll make sure they have the right skills, and are invested in your roadmap to growth.

  • Face to face training and networking – 2.5 hours
    Having prioritised your options for growth, you'll explore the different ways you could fund your ambitions. You'll balance cost against the benefit for your business, helping you to lay out a feasible roadmap to growth.
