Risking it! ... Is it worth it?

14-16 years

This session will enable young people to think about risk, including the risks people might take with money. They'll learn to assess and manage the risks associated with money, and look at when it might be an appropriate time to have insurance. They'll also look at financial fraud, and how they might feel if they fall victim to a fraudster.

KEY LEARNINGS

  • Failing to assess and manage risk may have negative financial and wellbeing consequences
  • Financial products which may help protect against risk, and when might be the right time to use them
  • The steps to take if they become a victim of financial fraud or identity theft
