How do you know if an email is genuine? Scam emails try to trick you into giving away personal or banking details. In this video, we show you a scam email and how to keep yourself safe if you get one.
Remember:
- Genuine companies don’t usually ask for personal details.
- Check the sender’s email address – does it look right?
- Spelling mistakes can be a clue that this is a scam, too.
- If in doubt, get in touch with the company using details you trust.
